Mission #2: Outdoors

Hello Spring and hello to a new adventure! It’s funny how a change in food can affect you…it may be the end of my August vegetarian mission but today I even chose to buy a vegie burger for lunch and okonomiyaki (vegetarian pancake) for dinner.

Mission Overview
So, I wonder how this month will affect me? As you can see, I have chosen the theme of Outdoors. I want to try all types of places with great outdoor spaces to celebrate the coming of spring and beautiful weather (although also dependent on Melbourne weather’s moodswings).

IMG_2955I’d love some suggestions of where to go! This theme is flexible so I’ve already got some boathouses in mind or even rooftops. Feel free to share your gems in the comments below and I’ll feature them in my Insiders of the Month on the side.

High Tea Event
I’m also excited to announce my second monthly event – High Tea at Two Beans and a Farm. I thought this would be a nice, unique venue for an outdoors meal and a refreshing way to showcase the northern suburbs, although it’s a bit further than my area.

More details below, remember to comment or email me at monaventuremelb@gmail.com if you’re interested in attending and to let me know ASAP as numbers are limited!

Where: Two Beans and a Farm at Carome Homestead, 10 Hathfelde Boulevard, Mernda
When: Saturday 20th September 3.30pm
Cost: $35 per person
Dress: Dress for spring!

With a film festival to help run at the start of this September, these posts will come later in the month as last time. But all recommendations are welcome and I’m excited already.

One last thing…
This event just happens to coincide with my blog’s first birthday! Can you believe this has been going for a year? And hopefully a few more years to come. Thank you to all my friends, readers and fellow bloggers for supporting me along the way. It’s always great to have encouraging words come from people and it’s been a great first year of Mon’s Adventures!

I’d recommend Grub Street Van in Fitzroy as it has an awesome indoor/outdoor space. It’s my summer local for brunch. Awesome idea 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you find!

Oh my god…my friend is definitely sold on that table tennis idea at the place! Don’t know how I’d find these sort of places without some recommendations, thanks! 🙂
